Integrating a Google AdWords account into Snoobi
|
Don't have an AdWords account yet? Begin by setting one up! |
1. Acquiring the acceptance of the AdWords –account administrator
Integration of an AdWords account into Snoobi requires that the Google AdWords account's administrator accepts the integration request. The account administrator is often the same person who has opened the AdWords account, or anyone who has an administrator level user name.
It is possible to integrate one AdWords account into a one Snoobi account.
-
An integration request can be sent to the AdWords account administrator from the
Google AdWords link in Snoobi's settings. Copy the AdWords' account's Customer ID into the number field in Snoobi's settings. You can find the Customer ID number from the upper right corner of the AdWords –account (see Image 1.)

-
Once the customer ID has been inserted, the actual request arrives to the front page of the AdWords –account within a single workday. The account administrator must log into their Google AdWords account to validate it. In addition to this, a notification of the integration request is sent to the e-mail address specified as the contact address of the AdWords account. The notification contains a message urging the administrator to log in to the AdWords account and accept the integration.
2. Choosing which AdWords campaigns to include
-
After accepting the integration, you, i.e. the person who sent the integration request, has the opportunity to select which campaigns should be integrated into Snoobi. All active and paused campaigns can be brought into Snoobi
-
After this, Snoobi prompts permission to modify the ads, so that an ad identifier is added to those campaigns that do not yet have it. Without this identifier, Snoobi cannot collect visitor data from your campaigns, which is why we strongly recommend to accept the prompt! Campaigns that are administered through Snoobi do not require manually added identifiers, since this is done automatically via these prompts.
3. Seeing the AdWords ads in the Snoobi report
-
Make sure that both the Snoobi account and the AdWords accounts have been set on the same timezone (check your Snoobi account's time zone from the Account details), otherwise the times of the visits do not match. If your AdWords account is on a different time zone, please contact Snoobi’s technical support and we will make the necessary modifications.
-
AdWords campaigns integrated into Snoobi will show up in the ”Ads” panel of the report automatically, so no extra manual labour is required.
-
The AdWords account must be of the Standard Edition (Starter Edition users must upgrade)
-
In the report, you can distinguish integrated campaigns from their "AdWords" prefix. By clicking on the campaign name, you will reach a sub page with
symbols on the panels.
Inform your colleagues about the integration, especially others update the AdWords account via Google's own management. Concentrating all the management to Snoobi will reduce the possibility of update mismatches.
From where can I alter the information, such as price, state or keywords of an existing campaign?
