Organization Manager
From the Organization Manager setting it is possible to see a list of all organizations that have visited your site and what organization type they have been listed as. In Snoobi, organizations are divided into four categories:
-
Actual companies or corporations. These are often considered the most interesting types of organizations because they can be identified with their proper company name and therefore contacted. Company or corporation visits to your site means that the visit was made by someone within a company network, such as an employee or employer.
-
ISPs (Internet Service Providers). Companies that are accompanied by the ISP mark are such where the end user may be anyone of the ISP's thousands or clients, making it impossible to pin down who the actual visitor was. This is why it doesn't pay off to contact visitors who show up as an ISP; the visitor could be anyone from the ISP's clientele. Companies whose main product palette includes selling Internet connections get marked as ISPs.
-
Government. Includes visits made through the Internet connections of hospitals, the army, city governments and other public sector establishments. Their common denominator is that their Internet connections oftentimes are used both by employees and clients/citizens. For this reason, it is impossible to determine whether interest for your website was shown by the employee of a government organization or one of their clients. In addition, educational institutes and cities often offer free Internet connections in public places (like buses and town centres) which makes it impossible to single out the relevant users from the one's who can't be tracked down.
-
Educational. Includes schools, universities and campus areas. The same rule as with government visitors applies; the visit may have been made just as well by staff as by a student.
Changing several organization types
Changing a single organization type can be done easily through the report. When you want to switch the organization type of a greater number of organizations, it's most conventient to use the setting organization Manager.

3. Press on the name of an organization type to change it
Every organization's type that you have defined will be treated as per your definition within your Snoobi report. However, all ISP markings are thoroughly verified before being adapted into more widespread use. This means that if we deem the organization type change as incorrect during our check-up, it will not affect the accounts of any other Snoobi users.
