Organization Manager
In Snoobi, Vistors by Organization can be divided into a few different organizational types. The main division is into actual companies (organizations) or internet service providers (ISPs). From the setting's Organization Manager it is possible to see a list of all organizations that have visited your site and what type they have been listed as:
-
Actual companies or corporations. These are often considered the most interesting types of organizations because they can be identified with their proper company name. Company or corporation visits to your site means that the visit was made by someone withing the company network, such as an employee or employer. This means that it is possible to contact them.
-
ISP’s (Internet Service Providers). Companies that are accompanied the ISP mark are not the end users of the service they provide. This is why it doesn't pay off to contact visitors who show up as an ISP; the visitor could be anyone from their clientele. We try to mark such organizations as ISPs whose main product palette includes selling Internet connections.
-
Educational establishments, cities and municipalities. For the time being, these are lumped under ISPs. Their common denominator is that their internet connections oftentimes are used both by employees and clients/students. For this reason, it is impossible to determine whether interest for your website was shown by the employee of an organization or one of their clients/students. In addition, educational institutes and cities often offer free internet connections in public places (like busses and town centres) which makes it impossible to single out the relevant users from the one's who can't be tracked down.
By clicking the ISP link in the Organization Manager, a certain organization may be given back its company status, so that it will be shown on the Snoobi report alongside all other actual companies (see Image 1.).

Image 1. Accessing the Organization Manager and toggling between viewing organization and ISPs (as done through the modem icon)
With the modem symbol it is possible to switch back and forth between ISP and actual company view, which makes possible to change and compare their status.
By clicking the binoculars symbol, it is possible to search for a specific organization or an ISP. By adding percentage signs on both sides of the name of the organization, it is possible to search for a certain combination within the name, in case that the entire name of that particular organization is not know.
Changes made within the Organization Manager do not effect other user's Snoobi accounts. If you spot organizations that are falsely categorized, please e-mail us as tell us about them,
